Discovery Asia commissioned BASE to develop and produce a bold new reality competition format, bringing together sixteen fighters to battle for the title of India’s Ultimate Warrior. Hosted by Bollywood action icons Vidyut Jamwal and Akshay Kumar, the series blended cinematic storytelling with authentic combat to create one of Discovery Asia’s most ambitious productions to date, awarded Best Original Game Show at the Content Asia Awards 2022.
Project Highlights:
- A six-part reality competition format created and produced for Discovery Asia’s global platform.
- Cast sixteen le and female fighters representing India’s top martial arts and combat disciplines.
- Designed and built a full-scale dojo in the wilderness south of Mumbai.
- Managed a 200-strong crew, operating across time zones and cultures.
- Ran remote edit workflows between the UK and Mumbai for efficient post-production.
